Hello, friends! The Large Die of the Month, Splash Tales, is absolutely AMAZING! There are lots of possibilities with this water themed die set! I have a couple of cards to share with you … same colour palette but two completely different takes on this set. Check out video tutorial HERE!

These cards have been constructed from Colorwheel Cardstock. The colour palettes are similar using Blush, Bellini, Chiffon, Dahlia and Oceanside.

Touches of highlighting and shadows were created on all the elements by applying Distress Oxide Ink Abandoned Coral and Hero Arts Unicorn White Pigment Ink. All of the elements were assembled. Unicorn White was also used on the background to create light rays on the Oceanside panel. Splatter White what’s applied to the panel using a fan brush. The panel was adhered to an A2 card base. The arrangement was adhered to the card front either directly with liquid adhesive or popped up with foam squares. Iridescent confetti finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew and small crystals on the flowers. The stars and pearl were highlighted with Nuvo Glitter Drops White Blizzard.

The shaped card base for this cards was created with a die from Perfect Touch Arches.   The die was positioned on folded cardstock so that the top of the arch would overhang the crease. After running it through the die cutter, a hinge was created at the top of the arch. This arch will be cut off, so an additional panel was cut and adhered to the card base. A smaller arch die was used to cut Oceanside cardstock and it was adhered onto the card base. Please view the video for the construction of the shaker bag filled with iridescent confetti. The goldfish was adhered to the vellum bag with foam squares and finished off with a tie and sentiment. Clear, smooth crystals we’re added as bubbles coming out of the goldfish‘s mouth.
