Spellbinders House-Mouse Tree-mendous Christmas Collection

Hello friends! I am likely repeating myself, but I just have to say again, I absolutely adore House-Mouse images! Spellbinders’ Tree-mendous Christmas Collection is so sweet. My cards feature a fall scene, Hats Off To You! and a group of playful mice embracing the season, Snowy Smiles. House-Mouse always puts a smile on my face!
The shaped card bases for these cards were created with the largest die in Perfect Arches. Because the card bases are a little bit wider than an A2 size, I began with a full sheet, 8 1/2” x 11” of white cardstock for each one. The sheet was creased in the middle long ways at 5 1/2 inches. The die was positioned so that the top of the arch would overhang the crease. To save card stock, the die was also placed close to the side edge of the creased sheet. After running it through the die cutter, a hinge was created at the top of the arch. This arch will be cut off, so an additional panel was cut; white for the Christmas card and Acorn from Colorwheel Cardstock for the Autumn card. These panels were adhered to the card bases.
The images were stamped on Colorwheel Cardstock . Seaside was used for Hats Off To You! and Malibu for Snowy Smiles. The Autumn scene was cut with the third largest die from the.Perfect Arches. The second largest die was used for the other card. The sentiments were then stamped onto the panels.
The scenes were coloured with Faber Castell Polychromas Pencils. The winter scene was spattered with Splatter White using a fan brush. The autumn panel was adhered to Truffles cardstock cut with the second largest die from the arch die set. These panels were then adhered to the card bases. The Autumn card was embellished with dark brown and mustard Nuvo Crystal Drops.
