I just love the House-Mouse images. They capture those sweet, everyday moments so perfectly and always make me smile. Today I’m sharing two cards featuring Spa Day and Dandelion Dreams from the Party Parade Collection.

Dandelion Dreams

The background for the Dandelion Dreams card was created using the Simple Vintage Lavender Fields Hexagons Nesting Die Set. This sweet set allows you to cut hexagons either plain or with stitched details. I used the smallest die with the stitching insert to cut several hexagons from violet cardstock.
An A2 sized card base was covered with Lavender Colorwheel Cardstock, and the sentiment from the Dandelion Dreams stamp set was stamped at the bottom of the panel. I masked the sentiment to keep a clean straight edge while arranging the hexagon die cuts to create the background.
The image was stamped onto white cardstock and cut using the largest hexagon die with the stitched insert. The image was coloured with Copic markers:
V0000 and V01 for the dandelion and soft shadow
E00 and E43 for the mouse
R81 for the nose
BG21 and BG23 for the stem
V20 for the background
The Simple Vintage Lavender Fields Hexagons die set also includes pieces to create lavender sprigs and an adorable bee. Several lavender flowers were cut from Violet and Lavender cardstock, while the greenery was cut from Rainforest cardstock. The tiny bee was assembled from pale yellow and black cardstock with vellum wings.
White craft foam was cut using the same hexagon die as the image to create dimension. The foam was adhered to the background, the lavender sprigs were arranged around the perimeter, and the colored hexagon was adhered on top. The bee was popped up with a small foam square, and a strip of purple glitter ¼″ washi tape was added to separate the hexagon background from the sentiment strip.
Spa Day

For the Spa Day card, the image was stamped onto white cardstock with the sentiment placed just below it. The panel was die cut with a rectangle die and adhered to a black A2 card base to create a bold frame.
The image was coloured with Copic markers. The soft pastel bubbles were created by first saturating the bubbles with a colorless blender, then adding touches of R81, B01, and Y11. The bubbles were finished by blending again with the colorless blender to create that translucent look.
The mouse was colored with E00 and E43, and the clawfoot tub with RV000 and RV02 for a soft pink finish.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Both of these cards highlight the charm and whimsy of the House-Mouse images. Whether it’s a relaxing bubble bath or a dreamy dandelion moment, these stamps make it easy to create sweet, storybook-style cards.
