Spellbinders’ Die of the Month for December

Hello everyone! Spellbinders' Stitched Heart Card Front is a beautiful die set with its lattice frame, stitched heart and negative banner sentiments. I have paired it with Romantic Slimline Borders to add in some additional pretty details

CARD 1

  • The heart outline die in conjunction with the detail die was cut three times; one each from ivory, light pink and dark pink. The stitching was done with black embroidery floss and the hearts stacked on foam die cuts.

  • Black card stock, 5 1/2" by 3 3/4", was cut with one of the border sets, the edging die combined with the detail die, from Romantic Slimline Borders. Strips of ivory, light pink and dark pink card stock were cut with just the edging die, layered and adhered under the detailed die cuts on the black card stock panel.

  • Black sheet foam was adhered to the back of the card front. The foam was the height of the panel, 5 1/2", but only wide enough to extend from the outside edge to the layered decorative edging.

  • The card front was adhered to the left hand side of an A2 sized, black card base.

  • The banner die was used to cut light pink card stock. This die with the sentiment die together was used to cut black card stock. The sentiment was stacked and adhered to middle of the centre heart.

  • Crystals embellished the centres of the stitched details.

CARD 2

  • The trellis frame was die cut from black card stock and mounted on a black foam die cut.

  • The heart outline die in conjunction with the detail die was cut from black card stock and stitched with metallic pink embroidery floss. The heart was stacked on a foam die cut and adhered to the trellis.

  • An A2 sized panel of pink card stock was die cut on both long sides using one of the edging dies from Romantic Slimline Borders. The panel was adhered to an A2 sized card base and the trellis attached.

  • The banner die was used to cut light pink card stock. This die with the sentiment die together was used to cut black card stock. The sentiment was stacked and adhered to the bottom of the card..

  • Crystals embellished the centres of the stitched details and the junction points on the trellis.
