The Spellbinders Buon Appetito Collection, featuring Pasta Friends, Ingredient Buddies, and the Stay Saucy Sentiment Set, is absolutely super cute! This charming trio of cards celebrates everyone’s favorite comfort food — pasta — with delightful personality and colour. Each card highlights a different type of pasta: spaghetti, penne, and macaroni, paired with playful punny sentiments.

Card Details

Each card features layered panels die cut using the Linear Touch Rectangles & Tags Die Set. The smallest panel showcases an ink blot background created with Distress Stains in Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin, and Peeled Paint. After creating the ink blot, the panel was spattered with each colour plus a few drops of Fossilized Amber for a touch of warmth and movement.

The pasta shapes were die cut from cream cardstock and lightly tinted using the same distress stains to give them a “sauced” look. The forks were cut from matte silver cardstock from the Silver Treasured Cardstock Pack, adding a sleek metallic accent that instantly elevates the playful theme.

For each design, a coordinating cardstock panel from the Colorwheel Cardstock — Pomegranate, Fern, and Carrot — ties in with the sauce colour of the ink background. The sentiments from the Stay Saucy set were stamped in crisp black ink on the smallest panel, which was popped up with foam tape. The pasta and fork were also adhered with foam squares for dimension.

A few additional elements from the Ingredient Buddies set — olives, mushrooms and basil — add a whimsical touch. To complete the cards, Nuvo Crystal Drops were applied to match the sauce colours.

Each card carries its own charming sentiment:
