  • The dies to create the Origami boat were cut using patterned paper from the Hello It’s Me 6X6 Designer Paper Pad and stitched with white embroidery floss. Because the patterned paper is lighter weight, it was adhered to Coral cardstock die cuts.

  • I like to use Tombow adhesive to adhere the stitched elements. The adhesive was applied catching all the stitching and left to dry until it was in its tacky state. The stitching will be secure and the die cuts will lie flat.

  • The Origami boat was assembled incorporating the accessory die cuts, mast and flags, cut from Colorwheel Cardstock Blush, Bellini, Coral and Tutu.

  • The shaped card was created using the bottle die from Whale In A Bottle. The die was positioned on folded cardstock so that one of the sides of the bottle would overhang the crease. After running it through the die cutter, a hinge was created. This bottle will be cut off, so an additional bottle was cut from Seaside cardstock and adhered to the card base.

  • Teal Topaz was cut wth the bottle die. The side of the bottle was cut with the wave die included in the Stitching Die of the Month. It was adhered to the bottle with foam tape so that the boat could be slipped in behind it.

  • The sentiment, also included in this set, was cut from Seaside cardstock and adhered to the wave.

  • This scene was rounded off with splash droplets and seagull silhouettes from the Guiding Light die set.

  • This cute shaped card was finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Simply White.
