Card Details
The ‘I’d Pick You’ set features a generously sized heart plate filled with playful hand-drawn hearts and sweet details, along with multiple sentiments and a coordinating die. One of the biggest advantages of this set is that the sentiments are pressed or foiled all at once and cut all at once—such a satisfying time saver when you’re making multiple cards.
For this card, I used the Glimmer Hot Foil System to foil the heart and sentiment onto a panel of Colorwheel Cardstockl Cranberry cardstock. This deep, rich red pairs beautifully with gold foil from Gold Treasured Cardstock, creating a classic yet striking look. The foiled panel was trimmed to 4” × 5¼” and mounted onto a mat of gold foil cardstock, cut to 4⅛” × 5⅞”, then adhered to an A2-size white card base.
The coordinating sentiment die was also put to work by cutting sheet foam, allowing the sentiment to be stacked for added dimension and tucked neatly along the bottom of the heart. A scattering of crystals adds a soft sparkle that finishes the card perfectly without overwhelming the design.
