Hello friends! It is hard to believe that autumn will soon be upon us .. in my opinion, one of the most beautiful times of the year! And what better way to celebrate then with a gorgeous new collection by Spellbinders, Autumn Archives. My cards feature Changing Trees, Falling Leaves and Autumn Alpha.

I love these die sets! Everything, including the letters, were cut from Tuscan Colorwheel Cardstock. Distress Oxide Inks were applied to create an ink blended look. Quick & easy! Those beautiful Autumn colours were created wth Seedless Preserves, Gathered Twigs, Candied Apple and Spiced Marmalade.

The Falling Leaves die set consists of two styles of acorns and leaves in two different sizes. . For this grid format, I used the smaller ones. The hat on the acorns and stems on the leaves were cut from matte cardstock from the Gold Treasured Cardstock. For the background, Kraft cardstock was cut with edging dies from the Torn Paper Edges Die Set. The panel was distressed with Walnut Stain and spattered with black opaque watercolor. The panel was adhered to an A2 black card base. The acorns and leaves were adhered to the “note paper” in a grid fashion. This sentiment was created using Autumn Alpha. The letters were mounted on black foam die cuts, and adhered to the card front.

A panel of Seaside Colorwheel Cardstock was adhered to an A2 card base. Rainforest cardstock was cut with one of the dies from Landscape Edges and adhered to the bottom of the panel with black foam tape. The panel was spattered with white and brown opaque watercolour paint. The trees from Changing Trees are layered. I cut both layers from Tuscan but inked the die cuts in different colours to create contrast between the top and bottom layers. The trunks were adhered directly to the grassy foreground and the tops of the trees popped up with foam squares. This sentiment created from Autumn Alpha were popped up by adhering them to black foam die cuts.
