Hello everyone! Spellbinder's Merry and Bright Collection is so much fun to work with! If you are looking for die sets that are versatile, the big and gorgeous All Occasion Bow and cute Merry and Bright Die Set are perfect for all those Christmas projects you have lined up ... cards, gift tags, present toppers and tree ornaments! These die sets are super easy and fun to work with!
Gift Tags
The tree outline die was used to cut three different colours of card stock two times each.
The outline die in conjunction with the detail die was used to cut coordinating glitter card stock.
White ribbon was sandwiched between the two outline die cuts and the glitter detail one was adhered on top.
The detail die was used to cut each of the three colours of card stock. The star and letters were pulled from all three and paper laid alternating between the colours.
This set also includes an outline sentiment die and two sentiment dies. A plain rectangle and the sentiment was cut from each of the three colours. The sentiments were stacked and adhered at an angle to the bottom of the tags.
Present Topper
All Occasion Bow is made up of nine dies. Each die is cut out twice except for the bow centre and its stripe detail.
The base of the bow was cut from both blue card stock and vellum paper. The vellum was adhered to the card stock die cuts on the tab for the bow loops and at the top for the tails.
The stripe details were cut from mint card stock and the blow loop shadow from mint glitter paper. These details were adhered to the vellum. For the bow loops, the position of the stripes is guided by the scored lines on the tabs.
The bow centre with its stripe die cut was adhered over the tabs of the bow loops. The tails were placed side by side and the bow loops mounted on top.
Small foam squares were adhered between the vellum and card stock bow loops and tails. They were positioned beneath the stripes.
Double sided tape was adhered to the back of the bow and it was adhered to the gift box catching the ribbon on the tag.
Card
All Occasion Bow is BIG ... about 5 1/2" by 4 1/4". If used on an A2 sized, landscape oriented card, it will take centre stage! I wanted to use the bow in conjunction with the Merry and Bright Die Set. To accommodate both elements, I created 5" by 7" card.
Black card stock was embossed with Christmas Tile, the Embossing Folder of the Month for October, and the panel wrapped with ribbon secured with scotch tape on the back. The panel was adhered to a 5" by 7" card base.
The gift tag of gold foil and red card stock was adhered to the card front with foam squares.
The All Occasion Bow of red and red glitter card stock was also adhered with foam.
