Hello friends! You are going to fall in love with Spellbinder's Large Die Of the Month, Pins & Needles Jar. In fact, all of the Clubs with the sweet stitching theme are sure to capture your heart as it has mine! I had to make a 'button jar' with this die set ... I remember my grandmother's all so well! And what better way to display it than with an easel card!
The April "New Subscriber" registration window will be available April 6 - 27th while supplies last. Current club subscribers can register for this club now!
The jar was cut from light blue card stock. The jar was completed with a soft teal pin top cushion and silver card stock screw band. Both were also cut from foam.
Before stacking these die cuts, a needle and three pins were cut from silver foil card stock and all but one sandwiched between the pin cushion die cut and foam. The foam backed die cuts were then adhered to the jar and the last pin mounted on top.
The thread was cut from dark teal card stock. One end was threaded through the needle and adhered to the card.
Several buttons were cut from different shades of blue and teal card stock with a couple of silver foil and ivory ones thrown in for good measure.
The first layer of buttons were adhered directly to the jar and the rest popped up with foam squares overlapping them. A few flowers from Four Petal Bloom Reflection with the centres finished off with silver Nuvo Drops complete the arrangement.
An A2 sized, top folding card base was cut from dark teal card stock. The front of the card was scored at 2" and creased to create the easel fold. The jar was adhered to the 2" base of the card base.
The sentiment from the Glimmer of the Month was foiled in Aura on white card stock. The coordinating die was used to cut the sentiment and foam. It was stacked and adhered to the jar.
On the inside of the card, a panel of the teal card stock measuring 4 1/4" by 2" was adhered to the bottom the panel. This will create an edge to hold the card front up for display.
The inside of the card was finished off with foam backed thread ... see the video! ... a needle and buttons! Such a cute display!
Teal and white Nuvo Drops were used to embellish in and around the buttons and the pins were finished off with the teal drops applied in a tear shape.
