Hello fellow card makers! Spellbinder’s Glimmering Flower Collection is stunning. I am using Glimmering Buttercups Bundle and Glimmering Peonies Bundle that consists of both the hot foil plate and five piece layering stencil set. These are large images perfect for a 5”X7” card or trimmed down, as I have done, for one that is A2 sized.
The Glimmering Buttercups and Glimmering Peonies plates were foiled with Aura Glimmer Hot Foil on white card stock using the Hot Foil System.
The panels were trimmed to 4” by 5 1/4” after the stencilling. The backgrounds were coloured and then the panels were adhered to A2 sized, black card bases.
The stencilling was done with Fresh Dye Inks by Altenew.
For the Glimmering Buttercups image, Stencil 1 was inked with Citrus Burst at the base of the petal and finished off with Fresh Lemons.
For the second stencil, Maple Yellow was followed by Honey Drizzle.
Firefly, a fresh green, was applied to Stencil 3 followed by Grass Field for Stencil 4.
Stencil 5 will complete the colouring with a very dark green, Mountain Pine.
Stencil 1 will add colour to a few of the flower petals using Wisteria and Hydrangea and also some of the foliage with Firefly.
Andromeda followed by Ultraviolet will add colour to more of the flower petals using the second stencil.
The same purples used with the second stencil will continue to be used with stencil 3 for the remaining flower petals and buds. The foliage will be coloured with Mountain Pine.
Stencil 4 will add colour to the stems with Mountain pine and Grass Field was used to complete the leaves with Stencil 5.
The background was coloured with Copic marker B39.
Using a Quickie Glue Pen , small dots of glue were applied in groupings on the panel and the coated with Nova Blue Glitter.
The sentiments from Let's Celebrate Sentiments Press Plate and Die Set was foiled with Aura Glimmer Hot Foil using the Hot Foil System. Both the sentiments and black sheet foam were cut with the coordinating dies. They were stacked and adhered to the cards.
