Spellbinder’s Glimmer of the Month for February

Hello everyone! Spellbinder's Glimmer of the Month, Daffodil Spray, is gorgeous! I love these Spring blooming flowers and associate them with Easter. To highlight the beautiful hot foiling, I have used a simple black out technique.

Be sure to have a look at Spellbinder's new value pack, The Deluxe Caboodle Club! All 10 clubs and a bonus item are included at a great savings! The February bonus item is the Exclusive Fluttering Hummingbird BetterPress Plates & Die Set.  This set is ONLY available to members of the Deluxe Caboodle Club.

The February "New Subscriber" registration window will be available February 6 - 27th while supplies last.

  • The image was foiled using the Hot Foil System with Gold Glimmer Hot Foil on an oversized panel of white card stock.

  • The image was Copic coloured. The daffodil petals were done up in YR61, Y08, 06 and 02.. For the trumpets, YR65, 61 and 31 were used. The leaves were coloured with G12, 14 and BG32.

  • A die from Essential Stylish Ovals was used to cut the daffodils.

  • The background on the oval was coloured black using Copic 110, Special Black.

  • The oval die was used to cut black sheet foam and the foiled oval was adhered to it.

  • The next largest oval die was used to cut gold foil card stock. The foam backed panel was adhered to it.

  • The panel was adhered to a black, A2 sized card base.

  • The sentiment, included in the Glimmer of the Month, was foiled in gold on black card stock. The coordinating die was used to cut both the sentiment and black foam. The sentiment was stacked and adhered to the card.

  • Ivory confetti finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew complete the card.
