Hello everyone! As the name suggests, the Glimmer for the Holidays is a beautiful collection of hot foil plates. Swirling Tree Hot Foil Plate, with its leafy design, is gorgeous on its own for a quick and easy card or decorate the tree! The pearl placement takes a bit more time but I love the result!
Swirling Tree Hot Foil Plate was hot foiled on dark grey card stock in gold. When hot foil stamping a plate with lots of foiled area, I add a sheet of folded copy paper to the sandwich when rolling it through the die cutter. This will increase the pressure slightly for a consistent foiled result.
The panel was trimmed to 4" by 5 1/4" and adhered to a gold matted, black A2 sized card base.
A sentiment from the Comfort and Joy Sentiments Hot Foil Plate and Die Set was also foiled on dark grey card stock in gold. The sentiment and black sheet foam were cut with the coordinating die and stacked.
A wax seal was stamped using Poinsettia Joy Wax Seal and gold wax. The seal was adhered to the tree with Wax Seal Adhesive Circles.
The foam backed sentiment was mounted under the seal.
The hot foil design has a dot detail in two different sizes. The smallest dots were embellished with tiny red or green half pearls. The next size up of pearls were used on the larger foil dots. As the pearls were placed, I focused on small bands of colour rather than alternating the red and green. The largest size half pearl was adhered to the top of the tree.
