Spellbinder’s Envelope of Wonder featuring Autumn Wonder

Hello everyone! Oh my goodness! The Envelope of Wonder Collection is absolutely gorgeous! Today's card features Envelope of Wonder and Autumn Wonder. I used the sweet envelope found in the first set and paired with beautiful Fall images from the other set. More coming! I just finished another card with Halloween Wonder and working on Christmas Wonder! This collection is AMAZING!

  • I am a huge fan of Autumn colours and pulled out all the stops beginning with blue violet card stock to construct the envelope. The envelope from Envelope of Wonder consists of four dies and is easily constructed. The large background die cut can be left open, as in this card, or folded close (upcoming Halloween card!) for a fun surprise! There is a detail die cut for the edge of the flap and the pocket is made up of one of the larger triangular shaped dies and two of the smaller one. These die cuts have score lines that are folded. Adhesive is applied to the flaps and on the underside edge of the triangle on the larger die cut. I found it easiest to adhere the two side pieces followed by the bottom one.

  • The elements for this card are from Autumn Wonder. Leaves were die cut from red, violet, orange, rust and yellow card stock. They were adhered, overlapping, to the inside of the envelope.

  • The gourd and pumpkins were cut from orange, yellow and rust card stock. The stems of violet were layered on. This trio was adhered together with purple leafy stems on the back. The grouping was popped up with foam adhesive squares and tucked into the bottom, inside of the envelope.

  • Pulling from all the same colours of card stock, the layered mushrooms were constructed and adhered into a grouping with a yellow leaf. It was adhered with foam squares to the bottom, outside of the envelope.

  • The two piece, die cut sentiment from Outlined Sentiments cut from vellum and gold card stock were stacked and adhered across the mushroom stems.

  • A black card stock panel measuring 5" by 7" was adhered to a card base. The envelope was mounted to the card front with double sided tape.

  • The card was embellished with gold foil pearls.
