Hello friends! Spellbinder's Embossing Folder of the Month, Christmas Tile, is a beauty! I love the repeating ornament motif with all of its delicate details. I kept it simple with a white on white background adorned with the pretty stitched Christmas tree included with the Stitching Die of the Month. I was trying to draw attention to the beautifully embossed background.
The October "New Subscriber" registration window will be available October 6 - 27th while supplies last.
White card stock and white sheet foam were cut with a die from Oval Essentials nesting die set.
The oval panel was positioned on the Christmas Tile Embossing Folder to ensure the pattern was symmetrical left to right.
The panel was adhered to the foam oval and then mounted onto an A2 sized card base.
The Christmas tree and the banner sentiment from the Stitching Die of the Month was cut from a soft green card stock and white sheet foam.
The card stock tree was stitched with a metallic white embroidery floss.
The stitched tree was adhered to the foam die cut withTombow adhesive ... a preference I have to adhere stitched elements. The adhesive was applied and left to dry until it was in its tacky state. I find using Tombow adhesive in this manner does a couple of things. It ensures the stitching is secure and it allows the element to lay pretty snug to whatever it is adhered to.
The tree was mounted onto the oval.
The banner sentiment was adhered to the foam die cut and mounted below the Christmas tree.
The tree was decorated with small and extra small white half pearls.
