Spellbinder’s Clear Stamp & Die of the Month for February … swinging Bunny!

Hello, fellow card makers! The first of the month is the introduction to Spellbinder's Clubs ... always exciting! Today's card features the Clear Stamp & Die of the Month. The images and sentiments are so beautiful in this set. I have a couple of more cards that I will be posting soon! Just a reminder that there is also a Clear Stamp of the Month ... same stamp set without the dies and, of course, at a lesser cost.

Although I did not do a Video Tutorial for this card, I did include a short reel which provides a quick, step-by-step overview of how this card was made.

  • Ivory and soft pink card stock were cut to 4.25" by 5.5". The pink card stock was cut with a beautiful cover plate die, Raining Hearts. The two panels were stacked and adhered to an A2 sized card base.

  • The Clear Stamp of the Month comes with three images. I stamped one image, the bunny, and a sentiment on ivory card stock with Black Memento, a Copic friendly ink. The coordinating die was used to cut the sentiment and the bunny was cut with a circle die from Nestibilities Standard Circles.

  • This image was easy to colour. I did a little bit of shading on just the bunny using Copic markers E81 and 85. The flowers were coloured with R01 and Y13 and the leaves with G43.

  • The Small Die of the Month is such a fun die set with different motifs layered with flowers. I used the teardrop shaped die ... perfect for topping off the swinging mechanism. It was cut from ivory card stock and detailed with pink flowers and ivory centres. Pink confetti was added to the centre of the large flower.

  • The swinging mechanism was used from Holly Jolly Gnome. This would be easy to replicate but I had it on hand and, of course, made use of it! It was cut from pink card stock and positioned at the top of the card. A small foam circle was adhered in the opening at the top of the mechanism and the teardrop attached to the foam. The swinging mechanism is now secure!.

  • To get the circle bunny die cut positioned at the correct height, scrap paper was placed under the hanger of the mechanism. Adhesive was applied to the narrow strip of card stock and the circle adhered with no worries about getting glue on the card front.

  • The sentiment was adhered to the circle so that it would slightly overhang it.

  • There were lots of tiny heart die cuts when the pink card stock was cut with Raining Hearts. A few of these were used to embellish the circle. The hearts were finished of with Nuvo Glitter Drops White Blizzard. White Blizzard dries clear and is super sparkly!

  • Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew, a clear drop, were used to add some shine to the bunny's eyes.
