Spellbinder’s Blooming Pomegranate … ready for Christmas!

Hello everyone! I finally found some time to use Spellbinder's Large Die of the Month for August, Blooming Pomegranate. What a gorgeous die set! With my late timing, I figured I might as well do it up as pretty Christmas card! I love sets that are versatile and can be used for any occasion!

  • A panel of Bristol Smooth card stock was ink blended with Distrss Oxide Ink, Villainous Potion. I love this rich, deep purple!

  • One leafy branch, the flower centres and the background die cuts for the pomegranates were cut from gold foil card stock. All of the other elements were cut from Bristol Smooth card stock.

  • The pomegranates were inked with Villainous Potion and Candied Apple. The flowers and leafy branch were coloured with Villainous Potion and Shaded Lilac.

  • The layered components were assembled.

  • The panel and the elements were spattered with Distress Stain Tarnished Brass using a fan brush.

  • The panel was trimmed to 4 1/8" by 5 3/8" and adhered to an A2 sized, black card base.

  • The inked branch was adhered to the gold foil one. They were offset and attached to each other by the upper, central stem.

  • The top of the stem was adhered directly to the upper, left hand corner of the card front. Black foam squares were used to stabilize the lower area of the branch while also popping up the leaves.

  • The pomegranates were adhered first followed by the blooms and additional leaves.

  • The sentiment and star accents are puffy stickers included in the Make It Merry Limited Edition Hoilday Card and Tag Kit 2023.
