Hello friends! Continuing along with the tropical theme, Spellbinder's 3D Embossing Folder of the Month, Scattered Tropics, is gorgeous! I have paired it with a couple of elements from the Large Die Of the Month, Grand Tropical Flamingos, to create a couple of colourful cards.
The May registration window for this club will be available May 6 for current Club Members. New registrations are accepted on the 10th of May. Registrations can be completed until May 27th or while supplies last.
Panels of Canson XL Water Colour paper were embossed with 3D Embossing Folder of the Month, Scattered Tropics.
One of the panels was die cut with a die from the Notched Corner Frames die set.
Colour was added with Lindy’s Magical Shakers. For the pink card, a combination of Cheerio Cherry and Pass the Jam, Jane were used.
The blue tone panel was done with Butter the Bread Blue and Lizzy’s Cuppa Tea Teal.
To highlight the leaves, Distress Oxide ink Old Paper, a soft grey green, was rubbed over the panels catching the high points.
The sentiments from the Glimmer of the Month were foil on white card stock with Aura Glimmer Hot Foil using Spellbinder’s Hot Foil System. The sentiment and foam were cut with the coordinating die for the blue card. An A2 sized panel was foiled in the the centre for the pink card.
The panels were trimmed to 4 1/4” by 5 1/2”.
The pink panel was mounted on foam that was cut with a larger die form the Notched Corner Frames die set to make it easier to align the windows. It was then adhered to the panel with the foiled sentiment.
Both card fronts were adhered to A2 sized card bases.
Elements from the Large Die Of the Month were used to finish off the cards. For the pink card, the flower and foliage were used to frame the window..For the other card a simple grouping of leaves with the foam backed sentiment mounted on top was used. On both cards, glitter card stock was incorporated from Spring Tones Glitter Paper and Jewel Tones Glitter Paper.
The cards were embellished the clear confetti finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.
