Building the Background
The base panel was cut from Cloud Colorwheel Cardstock measuring 4¼” x 5½”. Using the landscape die included in the set, the panel was trimmed about two-thirds from the bottom:
The bottom third became the foreground, cut again from white cardstock to represent snow.
The top portion was inked with Distress Oxide Inks — Faded Jeans, Fossilized Amber, and Ripe Persimmon — to create a dusky winter sky glowing with warmth.
Both panels were spattered with Spellbinders Splatter White for a flurry of snowflakes.

Assembling the Scene
The charming figures, snowman, and tree were all die cut from Colorwheel Cardstock in Fern, Tuscan, Truffle, and Carrot. Once assembled, the pieces were positioned across the snowy hill, with soft shadows inked beneath them for depth and grounding.
The sky panel was adhered to an A2 card base, and the foreground was popped up with foam tape for dimension.
Sentiment
The sentiment, “Have a holly jolly Christmas,” was created with the Christmas Cheer Press Plate and Die Set. The coordinating die was used to cut both the sentiment and black foam, which were stacked to add subtle lift and contrast.
Snow Day Magic ❄️
This sweet card captures the joy of winter fun — bundled-up friends, a snowman, and a freshly fallen blanket of snow. The Snow Day Friends die set is perfect for creating cozy, nostalgic holiday scenes with just the right amount of detail and whimsy.
