Slimline Birthday Card featuring Spellbinders’ Beveled Diamonds
Updated: Jun 20
Hello everyone! Today’s card features another new 3D embossing folder by Spellbinders; Beveled Diamonds. These folders not only create incredible dimension but their large size makes them suitable for producing any card format including slim lines! I have used this embossed background in combination with the gorgeous die set, Universal Curved Border.
I began by embossing lavender card stock that measured 81/2” by 3 1/2”. Before embossing, the panel was sprayed well with water to loosen up the fibres and prevent cracking. While it dried, blue violet card stock was cut wth the flower border die and gold metallic paper with the trellis die from Universal Curved Border. This set comes with a number of individual flower and leaf dies which were cut from various colours of card stock.
The embossed folder was mounted on a gold metallic panel and then on to a card base measuring 8 3/4” by 3 3/4”. The single curved border die from Universal Curved Border was used to cut white sheet foam. The floral edged panel was trimmed down to the same 8 1/2” width as the embossed panel and adhered to the foam. The excess foam was trimmed and the panel was adhered to the card base.
The individual flowers and leaves were adhered slightly offset on the floral border. The trellis was attached and gold pearls were used on the flower centres and to highlight a die cut sentiment from Layered Mix and Match Sentiments.
