Simon Says Stamp’s Fresh Air Holiday Tree

Hello friends! I am so happy to share with you a set of cards featuring Simon Says Stamp' Fresh Air Holiday Tree Stamp Set. Although I have showcased this layering stamp set in both traditional and non-traditional colours, I am really drawn to the natural beauty of this tree. I have paired it with Wood Plank Die for a 'rustic glam' look!

  • A frame was created by taping together two consecutive dies from Nested Domed Arches to die cut card stock; one in gold, silver and white glitter card stock.

  • For each card, six Wood Plank Die cuts were used ... Kraft, soft blue and dark grey. For the Kraft planks, Distress Oxide Walnut Stain was lightly applied to highlight the wood grain. Simon's White Pigment Ink was used on the blue and grey planks.

  • TEAR Rific Sheet Adhesive was applied to A2 sized panels of card stock. The planks were adhered staggering the joints.

  • The plank background was cut with a die from Nested Domed Arches and embossed with sprinkles of either gold, silver or white embossing powder. The backgrounds were inlaid in the arched frames and adhered to A2 sized card bases.

  • Fresh Air Holiday Tree Stamp Set has three layering stamps. There is an optional fourth layer to add lights or a garland. The green tree was stamped with Old Paper, Peeled Paint and Rustic Wilderness. Tumbled Glass, Pumice Stone and Chipped Sapphire was used to create the blue tree. The pink tree was stamped with Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick and Picked Raspberry.

  • The pink and green trees were stamped and embossed with the garland image; one in white and the other in gold. The blue tree was stamped with the lights in silver.

  • The stars and sentiments were embossed in the same embossing colour as the tree decorations. The sentiments were stamped on the same card stock used for the plank background.

  • The trees, stars and sentiments were cut with the Fresh Air Holiday Tree Die Set. The tree and sentiment dies were also used to cut sheet foam. The trees and sentiments were mounted on the foam and the stars adhered to the top of the trees.

  • The trees and sentiments were adhered to the card fronts.

  • Glitter card stock, white, gold and silver, were cut with Etched Berry Branch, The berry dies from Christmas Foliage were used to cut navy, red and soft pink card stock. The berries were adhered to the branches.

  • The branches were cut apart and adhered to the top of the domes with a combination of liquid adhesive and foam squares.

  • The berries were finished off with Nuvo Glitter Drops White Blizzard .

  • A flat knot bow was adhered to the top of the branch.
