Hello friends! These cards feature Crafty Meraki’s Enchanted Hugs, Meraki Moments Hugs and the Craft-A-Round Cover Die A2. The colouring was quick, easy and fun using Lindy’s Magical Shakers in a an array of fabulous colours!
A stencil was created by cutting card stock with Craft-A-Round Cover Die A2.
The stencil was positioned over Canson XL Water Colour paper and texture paste was applied. .
When the texture paste was dry, the panel was saturated with water and Lindy’s Magical Powders applied; London Summer Shade Magical Shaker, Butter The Toast Blue Magical Shaker, Darcy In Denim Magical Shaker and Lizzy’s Cuppa Tea Teal Magical Shaker.
When dry, the panel was trimmed to 4” by 5 1/4” and adhered to an A2, black card base.
A small panel of water colour paper was coloured with London Summer Shade Magical Shaker and Moon Shadow Mist Pirate’s Plunder Gold, large enough for both the sentiment and leafy branches.
To create a floating sentiment, Meraki Moments Hugs was used to cut the panel and back sheet foam. The die cuts will sandwich a panel of vellum paper. Vellum does not react well with liquid adhesive so Tombow glue was applied to back of the sentiment and top of the foam and left to dry. In its tacky state, the sentiment and foam die cut are easily aligned to one another through the vellum. The sentiment was adhered to the card front and the vellum trimmed.
Spade Meraki Para-Dies was cut and edged with Distress Oxide Chipped Sapphire. They were adhered to the card front with a combination of liquid adhesive and foam squares.
Blue confetti finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew complete the card.
A panel of Canson XL Water Colour paper was stamped with Enchanted Hugs in black Versafine ink.
The letters were painted with Lindy’s Magical Powder, Pinkies Up Pink Magical Shaker, Cheerio Cherry Magical Shaker and Pass The Jam Jane Magical Shaker, darkest to lightest to create an hombre effect.
The panel was spattered with white gouache that was slightly watered down.
The flowers were done up in Crumpet Crumbs Magical Shaker and the berries with Pinkies Up Pink Magical Shaker. The leaves were painted with Lizzy’s Cuppa Tea Teal Magical Shaker.
The coordinating die for Enchanted Hugs was used to cut the image.
A 5” by 7” panel of coral card stock was covered with several die cuts using Canopy Leaves Para-Dies. The panel was adhered to a card base and the image vented on the card front with foam tape.
The card was embellished with coral half pearls.
