Inlaid Paper Piecing featuring a Simon Says Stamp’s So Many Candles

I love Simon Says Stamp's DIEcember celebration and have a 'two for one' card idea to share with you featuring the unique and super fun So Many Candles. What a fabulous die set! I really enjoyed playing with this one!

  • An A2 sized panel of white card stock was covered with Tear-rific Adhesive Sheets that was cut down to the same size. The double sided adhesive will make the paper piecing quick and easy!

  • Strips of 1/2" card stock in three shades of pink were cut and pieced onto the panel diagonally. The paper pieced panel was trimmed to 4" by 5 1/4".

  • The main die in So Many Candles was used to die cut the paper pieced panel, a 4" by 5 1/4" panel of black card stock and white glitter card stock.

  • The white glitter grouping of candles was inlaid on the paper pieced background and the paper pieced candled on the black panel. With both panel and candles face down, I found it easiest to inlay the top the candles first. As I worked, sections were held together with scotch tape.

  • The white candle panel was adhered to an A2 sized, black matted card base. For the other card, the fuschia card stock was used as the mat.

  • The So Many Candles die set comes with a die to cut all the flames needed to finish off the candles. The flames were cut from white glitter card stock and adhered to the top of the candles.
