Hello everyone! I love the look of these ink blended flowers … so soft and pretty! I have combined Spellbinders’ newly released CLEMATIS with another of their flower die cut sets, BUTTON & DAISY CHRYSANTHEMUM. I have been making a few cards using dimensional flowers and it has me longing for winter to draw to a close. Count down time! Hope you enjoy this card with its ‘pocket full of pretties’!
All of the flowers were die cut from Bristol Smooth card stock and inked with Distress Oxide inks using blending brushes:
clematis petals - Worn Lipstick
chrysanthemum 1 - Dried Marigold
chrysanthemum 2 - Shaded Lilac
Leaves - Rustic Wilderness
The flower centres for the clematis were cut from black card stock and the two sets of petals for the chrysanthemums were cut from ivory card stock. The flowers were shaped and assembled. Please see the video tutorial.
A soft pink pocket was cut with a die from A POCKET FULL OF LOVE. The overlay and its details were cut from ivory card stock. The pocket was adhered to an ivory panel and then onto a black panel. The panel was attached to an A2 sized card base.
The flowers and leaves were arranged on the card. The sentiment from LAYERED MIX & MATCH SENTIMENTS was die cut from pink card stock. The accompanying word shadow was cut from ivory card stock and mounted on a foam die cut. Nuvo Glitter Drops White Blizzard was used to accent both the flower and the berries on the pocket overlay. Pink confetti finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew was used to embellish around the bouquet.
