Hello everyone! Spellbinder's Halloween Icons from the Halloween/Fall BetterPress Collection is so fabulous! Not only are the images spooky cute but it also includes one press plate for all the sentiments! Yes! All the sentiments are pressed at once and the coordinating die cuts them all in one feed through the die cutter! So awesome! And these tags are good to go on the Halloween treat bags!
Using the BetterPress Letterpress System, the images were inked with BetterPress Black Ink and pressed onto Porcelain BetterPress A2 Cotton Card Panels. Because I was creating small vignettes, the press plates were arranged on either the bottom half or the top half of the A2 registration marks on the magnetic shim on the BetterPress. This arrangement allowed for two vignettes per cotton panel. For details on how to use the BetterPress System, check out my video, Introduction To Spellbinder's BetterPress System. So easy!
The vignettes were die cut with one of the smaller dies from Notched Corner Frames. Using the next largest die, black card stock was also cut.
The images were painted with Sennelier water colours. When the paint was dry, the panels were spattered with slightly watered down Dr. PH Martin's Bleed Proof White using a fan brush.
The small panels were adhered to the black card stock ones.
The sentiment press plate was stamped on yellow card stock with BetterPress Black Ink and cut with the coordinating die.
Using the Create A Flutter & Flower Bow die set, the bow and ribbon were cut from yellow and black card stock respectively. The bows were assembled and finished off with a black crystal.
The top of the tags were punched and black netting looped through the hole.
The bows was adhered at the top of the tags and the sentiments to the bottom.
