Hello friends! Well, here we go! Just in time for spring! Spellbinders’ has introduced a gorgeous new collection, Yana’s Daisies, designed by our favourite paper crafter, Yana Smakula. This group of cards features the beautiful Daisy Shower Press Plate. I love the versatility of press plates. Not only can they be letter pressed, but they also work well hot foiled. The beauty of all of these cards is that they are QUICK and EASY!

The first three cards were letter pressed on BetterPress Porcelain A2 Panels using Distress Oxide Inks Squeezed Lemonade/Picked Raspberry, Squeezed Lemonade/Fossilized Amber/Shabby Shutters and Faded Jeans/Shabby Shutters. For the pink and yellow card, the panel was cut with a die from Perfect Touch Arches. This die was also used to cut sheet foam to pop the arch up on the card front. A die from this set was also used to cut the vellum tag. Embroidery thread was used for the tie. The sentiment from Fresh Picked Sentiments, was cut from Blush cardstock and white sheet foam. To adhere the sentiment, and avoid wrinkling the vellum, Tombow adhesive was applied to the underside of the cardstock word, and to the top of the foam die cut one. After the adhesive was dry, and in its tacky state, the vellum tag was sandwiched between the two and then adhered to the card front. The ends of the embroidery threads were adorned with confetti and finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.

The yellow/green card panel was cut with circle dies from Everlasting Circles. The larger of the two dies was used to cut the panel and the smaller one to cut the circle die cut to reduce its size. The smaller die was also used to cut white sheet foam to pop the circle up on the card front. The sentiment from Fresh Picked Sentiments was cut from both white card stock and foam, stacked and adhered to the circle.

The blue green panel was cut with the rectangular die included in the Stitched Scalloped Card Front & Tag The scalloped die was then used to cut white cardstock. The scalloped panel was adhered to the card base. The letter pressed panel was popped up on foam and adhered to the scalloped frame. The sentiment from Fresh Picked Sentiments, was cut from both white card stock and foam, stacked and adhered to the card front.

The remainder of the cards were foiled. The card above was featured in a previous Blog Post that I have linked for further details. The rest of this collection were done up in pastel colours, lavender, seafoam, peach and pink, using the Satin Pastels Set of 4 Hot Foil Rolls on white cardstock.

Although each card was finished off uniquely, all of the sentiments are from the Colorful Expressions Sentiments. The lavender panel was cut with three different sizes of heart dies from Essential Hearts. The hearts were mounted on foam die cuts and popped up on the card front.

For the seafoam card, the sentiment was adhered to a speech bubble that was foam backed from the Speech Bubbles Die Set. The cute snail and worm from the Small Die of the Month were also popped up with foam.

The peach panel was die cut with three different diamond dies. The die cuts were popped up with foam on the card front.

For the final card, it was finished off with the beautiful set of daisies from the Yana’s Daisies  die set. The daisies were popped up on the card front and the foam backed sentiment was adhered on the flowers.
