Spellbinders Small Die of the Month, Harvest Magic, brings the beauty of Autumn and Halloween right to your craft table. With a whimsical pumpkin, florals, and charming accents, it’s perfect for creating cards that celebrate the season. Today, I’m sharing a playful “Fall From All of Us” card that combines rich autumn colours with a spooky Halloween night!

Small Die of the Month – September
Colorwheel Cardstock: Oceanside, Seaside, Beeswax, Saffron, Tuscan, Fern, Acorn, Fawn, Dahlia
Gold Treasured Cardstock - Matte Gold Metallic
Distress Oxide Inks -: Black Soot

Step 1: Ink-Blended & Spattered Background
Begin with a panel of Oceanside cardstock. Blend Black Soot Distress Oxide ink around the edges to deepen the colour and give the background depth. For extra texture and shimmer, spatter the panel with Distress Stain: Tarnished Brass—this adds a subtle golden sparkle that complements the metallic accents on the card.
Step 2: Oval Frame
Cut an oval and stitched scallop oval frame using the Scalloped and Stitched Edge Ovals die set. Die cut from matte gold cardstock for elegance. To give the frame dimension, layer it over a black foam die cut before adhering to your background panel.
Step 3: Pumpkin Focal Point
Cut the pumpkin from Seaside cardstock, adding accents in matte gold metallic cardstock for a rich, glowing look. Place the pumpkin at the bottom of the oval frame to anchor your scene.
Step 4: Flowers
Die cut flowers from Beeswax, Saffron, and Tuscan cardstock.
Step 5: Additional Leaves
Cut additional foliage from grey green cardstock. Tuck these around the frame and pumpkin, layering to create a full, harvest-inspired arrangement.
Step 6: Embellishments & Sentiment
Scatter Bisque Opalescent Sequins across the background for shimmer, and finish with a few drops of Nuvo Crystal Drops in Morning Dew for subtle dimension. Add your “Fall From All of Us” sentiment banner at the bottom to complete the design.
Finished Card
This card combines the cozy warmth of stitched florals with the playful spirit of Halloween. The layered die cuts, shimmering background, and gold accents create a card that is festive as fun—perfect for sending seasonal greetings to friends and family.
