Hello everyone! I have another card from Spellbinders’ Colour Your World collection featuring Artful Brush. All of the die sets in this collection are so awesome and versatile and the Artful Brush is equally as fabulous. This die set includes five dies; three to create the paintbrush, one that produces two different sizes of paint drips and then, my favourite, a multi drip cut out. I have added In some additional elements from another great die set, Typing Class.
Everything was die cut from rose, pink, ivory and fine gold glitter card stock. The paintbrush was assembled on a foam die cut of the handle. All of the dies for the paintbrush and the large drip die were used to cut both the coloured card stock and the glitter paper. The coloured card stock die cuts were mounted over the glitter ones, slightly offset, so there was only a hint of the gold. The individual paint drips were cut from both gold and pink card stock. The large paint drip die cuts were adhered to the underside of the brush.
The card base, A2 size, was matted with black card stock measuring 4 1/8” by 5 3/8”. A rose coloured card front, 4” by 5 1/4”, was adhered to the mat. The brush of the paint brush was thicker than the handle so foam squares on the handle were used to even it out and adhere it to the card front. The individual paint drips were adhered directly to the card front.
A number of florals, leaves and the sentiments were cut using dies from Typing Class. The sentiment was stacked on foam and an arrangement was created both above the sentiment and at the base of the handle on the paintbrush. Confetti topped with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew finish off the centre of the flower and embellish the card. Morning Dew was also applied to the pink paint drips. The card was finished off with accents of White Nuvo Drops.
