Create the Pears
Die cut the layers of the pears from Buttercream, Misty Moor, Marshland and Pastel Sunrise cardstock. Altenew’s keyhole alignment system makes it easy to assemble each pear perfectly.
Lightly ink the edges of each die-cut with VersaMark ink and heat emboss with gold embossing powder for a subtle, elegant shine.

Prepare the Background
Cut a Buttercream cardstock panel to 4 ¼” x 5 ½”.
Emboss it using the Raised Sentiment Embossing Folder for texture.
Lightly blend Icy Lemonade and Marshland inks around the edges, followed by a touch of Choco Hazelnut for depth.
Add gold embossing to the edges for a distressed but refined frame.
Assemble the Card
Adhere the background panel to an A2-sized card base.
Attach one pear to the lower right-hand corner.
Die cut the sentiment “Good News” from the Timeless Sentiments 3 using gold foil cardstock, stack it on black foam for dimension, and adhere it next to the pear.

Finish the Design
Pop up the pear branch and overlapping leaves using foam squares for added depth and adhere to the card front.
Design Notes
This card balances organic, soft greenery with modern metallic shine for a look that is perfect for celebrating any joyful news — from a new baby to a job promotion. The gold heat embossing catches the light beautifully and makes this card feel truly special.
🍐 Tip: Try switching the color palette for a holiday version — think deep reds, olives, and gold for a Christmas card or pale pastels for a springtime feel.
