The Altenew Craft Your Life Project Kit: Sweet Harvest is all about cozy warmth and handmade charm — perfect for autumn! For this pair of cards, I used both the Sweet Harvest Layering Die Set and the coordinating Sweet Harvest 3D Embossing Folder. These designs feature delicious pies, fresh apples, and textured backgrounds that capture the feeling of homemade comfort.

The card backgrounds were embossed using the Sweet Harvest 3D Embossing Folder. One panel was created with cream cardstock, lightly inked over the raised areas with Citrus Burst Fresh Dye Ink to bring out the texture. The second panel was made with Winter Lake Cardstock, inked with Winter Lake Ink for a tone-on-tone effect. Each embossed panel was then adhered to an A2-sized card base.
The charming pies were die cut using the Sweet Harvest Layering Die Set, which includes two different crust styles. To build the pies, I first die cut the base from both cream and red cardstock — trimming the red layer slightly so it wouldn’t show through the “filling.” The pie crusts were brushed with glue and sprinkled with Sparkle Dust for that sugar-crystal look. Once dry, the pies were assembled and adhered to the die-cut cooling racks.
Each card was finished with apples and cinnamon-stick accents, popped up with foam squares for depth. The sentiments — smiles and grateful! — were die cut from bright red cardstock using Timeless Sentiments Sets 2 & 3, and mounted on foam layers for extra dimension. A few red sequins topped with Morning Dew Nuvo Drops add the perfect glossy touch.

Closing Thoughts
These sweet harvest cards are such a cozy nod to homemade treats and fall gatherings — warm, bright, and cheerful!
Other ideas for using these sets:
Create Thanksgiving place cards by adding names beneath the pies.
Use the embossing folder for recipe cards or background panels on kitchen-themed scrapbook pages.
Make gift tags for baked goods or hostess gifts featuring the pie and apple die cuts.
