The March Craft Your Life from Altenew, Garden Gala, is an absolute celebration of florals and versatility. This comprehensive kit includes a large stamp set, coordinating die set, coordinating stencil set (with a beautiful standalone feature), and a 3D embossing folder. Whether you love bold florals, layered stenciling, or modern landscapes, this kit truly does it all.
Today I’m sharing four cards that highlight just how versatile this project Kit can be — two focusing on the florals from the stamp set and two featuring the standalone landscape stencil elements.

Card One – Foiled Floral on Red

For the first card, I created a rich red background using the Deco Leaves stencil on Vineyard Berry cardstock. I incorporated Altenew’s newly released Foil Relief Paste applying it through the stencil and allowing it to dry to a tacky finish. Once tacky, I placed white foil (the same type used with a laminating machine) over the paste and used the edge of a palette knife to gently rub and transfer the foil. The result is a stunning, slightly distressed foiled effect.
A large floral from the stamp set was stamped and easily coloured with Antique Olive, Pink Pearl, Coral Bliss, Heart Beat, Berry Mocha for the flowers and Olove and Antique Olive for the leaves using the coordinating stencils. Both the floral and sentiment were popped up using the new Instant Dimension Foam Tape, creating bold contrast against the red background.
Card Two – Watercolour Arch Floral

For the second floral card, I started with watercolour paper that was generously wetted and coloured with Distress Stains, allowing the pigments to blend organically for a soft, dreamy effect.
Once dry, I used one of the dies from the new arch die set to cut the panel. The edges were distressed with Altenew’s Bronze Metallic Ink from the Magical Metallic Set for added depth, then spattered with gold for subtle shimmer. The panel was cut with one of the dies from the Nesting Arches Die Set.
The background panel was adhered to a black A2-sized card base, and the arch was popped up with dimensional black foam tape, slightly offset for a modern look. The second floral from the stamp set was coloured using the coordinating stencil set and Pink Crystal, Berrylicious, Açai Mocha, Olove and Antique Olive Fresh Dye Inks. Both the floral and sentiment were again popped up with foam tape for added dimension and impact.
Card Three – Coral Ink Blended Landscape

The third card highlights the standalone landscape stencil feature. I began with Pastel Sunrise Essential Cardstock and ink blended Fresh Dye Inks Chamomile, Snapdragon and Terracotta to create a glowing backdrop.
The landscape outline stencil and positive cut-outs were sprayed with repositionable adhesive. Using the outline stencil as a guide, I positioned the positive cut-outs, removed the outline, and applied White Relief Paste to the thin lines.
The completed panel was cut using one of the arch dies from the Nesting Arches Die Set. A curved sentiment from the stamp set was stamped along the top of the arch. The main sentiment was stamped separately on ink-blended cardstock and cut with the coordinating die.
The arched panel was popped up with Instant Dimension Foam Tape. I also cut leafy branches from black cardstock using the standalone leaf branch die included in the kit and adhered them to the bottom of the arch. The main sentiment was layered on top with black foam tape for added dimension and balance.
Card Four – Layered Masked Landscape Arch

For the final card, I again used the landscape stencil — this time on white cardstock. The outline stencil was positioned first, and the positive cut-outs were used as masks to isolate each section so that every layer could be ink blended individually with Berry Mocha, Açai Berry, Berrylicious, Heart Beat, Cral Bliss, Pink Pearl, Sunray and Arctic Mountain Fresh Dye Inks.
After blending, I cut the panel with one of the arch dies from the Nesting Arches Die Set and mounted it on foam tape. The shaped card base was created using the largest arch die to cut folded white cardstock, placing the die slightly over the crease to create a hinge. To conceal the small cut edge at the top, an additional white arch was adhered over the front.
A curved secondary sentiment was stamped at the top of the arch, and the main sentiment from the stamp set was popped up with foam tape for extra emphasis.

Finishing Touches
All four cards were embellished with either enamel dots or metallic sparkles to complete the designs and add just the right amount of shine.
Closing Thoughts
The Gardening Gala Craft Your Life Kit truly showcases how thoughtfully designed Altenew kits are. From bold florals to modern landscapes, clean arches to textured foiling, this kit offers endless creative possibilities. I love how easily the coordinating stencils simplify colouring, while the standalone elements allow for completely different looks within the same collection.
Whether you’re a floral lover, a stencil enthusiast, or someone who enjoys experimenting with texture and dimension, this kit is packed with inspiration.
Happy crafting!
