Alex Syberia Designs November Holiday Release featuring Midnight Blooms

Updated: Nov 30, 2023

Hello again! I am back with a couple of cards featuring Midnight Blooms from Alex Syberia Designs' November Holiday Release. The Midnight Bloom Collection is GORGEOUS and consists of a stamp set, die set, layering stencils and a hot foil plate. Making beautiful cards couldn’t be easier! This collection has got you covered!

Be sure to check out the YouTube Hop and Giveaway for lots of inspiration and a chance to win great prizes! You can start the Hop at Alex Syberia Designs.

  • The backgrounds were created with Distress Oxide inks. Stormy Sky was used on the stencilled panel and a combination of Stormy Sky and Chipped Sapphire in the foiled one. The edge of the ink pad was simply dragged diagonally to create a striated background.

  • The panel with Stormy Sky was stencilled using the Frosty Lace Stencil. Chipped Sapphire was applied with a blending brush. Clear texture paste followed being applied with a palette knife in a thin layer.

  • The other panel was foiled in silver using Magic Stars Hot Foil Plate. The design will cover one half of an A2 sized panel. It was flipped around and foiled a second time.

  • The panels were trimmed to 4" by 5 1/4" and adhered to A2 sized card bases. The stencilled panel was spattered with Dr. PH Martin's Bleedproof White.

  • The flowers from Midnight Blooms Stamp Set were stamped with Versamark ink on white card stock and embossed in white.

  • Midnight Blooms Layering Stencil Set makes the colouring quick, easy and spectacular! For the stem and leaves Stormy Sky and Chipped Sapphire were used. The flowers were done up in Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry.

  • A small panel of Bristol Smooth card stock was coloured with Stormy Sky ink. When the panel was dry, the two sentiments chosen from the Midnight Blooms Stamp Set were stamped with Versmark ink and embossed in white.

  • The coordinating dies, Midnight Blooms Die Set, were used to cut the blooms, sentiments and white sheet foam. The two flowers were spattered in white and all the stamped elements were stacked on the foam die cuts.

  • Three bows for each flower were cut using the Pretty Bows Die Set. This set has two bow sizes. Each die was used to cut soft pink, dark pink and silver card stock. The three bows for each size were adhered together offsetting them.

  • The bows were adhered to the flowers.

  • The flowers and sentiments were mounted to each card front.

  • Both cards were embellished with clear crystal drops.
