Card Details

To create the shaped card bases, I placed the largest arch die from Nested Domed Arches slightly over the crease of folded cardstock before die cutting creating a hinge. Additional panels were cut from soft blue and grey-blue cardstock and adhered to the card bases.

Missing You Card

For the Missing You card, the Garden Fence was die cut from both white cardstock and white sheet foam. These layers were stacked and adhered to a strip of green cardstock that extends from the bottom of the card to the top rail of the fence.

The Honeywell Floral die set was used to create two lush arrangement of greenery and blooms in soft pinks and warm mustard tones. The floral piece is designed as one large spray, making it easy to tuck behind the fence for a full, dimensional look.

A sweet bird from the Chickadee die set was cut from soft grey and black cardstock and popped up along the top of the fence with a foam square.

The card was finished with the new “Missing You” sentiment die. The shadow layer was cut from white cardstock and foam for dimension, while the lettering was cut from the same soft blue used in the background.

Garden Gate Card

For the second card, the Garden Gate was created using two shades of pink cardstock, with the hardware die cut from matte gold cardstock for a realistic touch.

A strip of green cardstock was adhered to the base of the card front, and the fence posts were attached directly to it. The gate itself was popped up with foam adhesive, but only adhered along the post and first panel so it appears slightly open.

A sweet Flourish Rabbit was die cut from white and soft pink cardstock and placed behind the gate, with its head peeking through for a playful touch.

The sentiment, “I believe in you,” from the Stay True set, was stamped in black ink for a bold contrast.

Two Honeywell Floral arrangements, in the same soft palette as the first card, were tucked behind the gate to complete the garden scene.

Final Thoughts

These garden-themed cards are full of charm and dimension. The combination of shaped card bases, layered die cuts, and soft florals creates a whimsical, storybook feel. Whether you’re sending encouragement or letting someone know they’re missed, these designs are a beautiful way to share a heartfelt message.
