Simon Says Stamp Shine On Release | Sweet and Snarky Diminutive Note Cards

The Simon Says Stamp Shine On Release truly has something for everyone, and I am excited to share four sweet diminutive note cards that would be perfect to accompany a birthday gift. These cards feature sentiments from the Old Broad Squad stamp set, and I absolutely adore them! The sentiments are hilariously snarky, and I love pairing them with soft, pretty backgrounds for a fun contrast.

Card Details

For the first pair of cards, I created a stenciled background using the new Leafy Greens Stencil using Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Ink, I blended this beautiful leafy design onto soft pink cardstock. I found it easiest to apply a repositionable tacky spray adhesive to the stencil to keep it securely in place while inking. One of the smaller dies from the Postage Stamp Edge Frames die set was used to cut white cardstock that had been folded in half, creating a hinged shaped card base. The same die was then used to cut the stenciled panel, which was adhered to the card base. Finally, the cards were stamped with sentiments from the Old Broad Squad stamp set.

For the second pair of cards, I used the Blooming Flower stencil, a beautiful four-piece layering stencil set. A soft palette of Old Paper, Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo, and Dried Marigold Distress Oxide Inks was used to create these pretty blooms. The coordinating die, which also includes a two-piece sentiment that I did not use for these cards, was used to cut white cardstock folded in half to create another pair of hinged shaped card bases. The die was then used to cut the stenciled flowers, which were adhered to the card bases. To finish the cards, I stamped more of the delightfully funny sentiments from the Old Broad Squad stamp set.

These diminutive note cards came together quickly and are sure to bring a smile to someone’s face. I love the combination of soft, feminine backgrounds paired with the witty sentiments from the Old Broad Squad stamp set. Whether tucked into a birthday gift or given on their own, these little cards are a fun way to celebrate friends with a good sense of humor.
