Simon Says Stamp Sending Cheer Release: Christmas Ornaments

There’s something wonderfully classic about Christmas ornaments, and this new Christmas Ornaments stamp set from the Simon Says Stamp Sending Cheer release makes creating them so much fun! The set includes four different ornaments, each designed to be stamped in layers, along with several coordinating Christmas sentiments. I love how easily the layered images come together, creating colourful ornaments with lots of detail.

Card Details
I began by die cutting white cardstock using the Fiesta A2 Dies. These nesting dies create a beautiful decorative die-cut border with softly rounded corners, making the perfect frame for each ornament.

Next, I moved on to the stamping with Christmas Ornaments. Using a stamping platform, I stamped the ornaments onto the white panels. Each stamp is clearly labelled to indicate the layers and the order in which they should be stamped, making the process very straightforward. There are four stamps per ornament.
I used Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Fresh Dye Inks for all four ornaments:
Blue: Marine and Royal
Green: Aspen and Pine
Red: Guava and Cherry
Yellow: Lemonade and Citrine

I positioned each ornament to leave room for a sentiment underneath. The green ornament was the exception, as it fills almost the entire panel. For that card, I stamped the sentiment directly onto the coordinating green cardstock panel beneath the ornament.
For the card bases, I used white cardstock and added coordinating coloured cardstock panels measuring 4” x 5¼”. I rounded the corners of both the card bases and coloured panels with a corner rounder so they would coordinate beautifully with the rounded corners of the Fiesta panels.

The coloured panels were adhered directly to the card bases, while the decorative Fiesta panels were popped up with foam adhesive for a little added dimension.
Finally, I added tiny micro crystals to each ornament for just the right amount of Christmas sparkle.

Closing Thoughts
This is such a fun and versatile stamp set! I love that the layered ornaments have plenty of detail without being complicated to stamp, and the four different colour combinations give each card its own personality. The simple layouts really let the ornaments take centre stage, while the little touches of sparkle add the perfect finishing touch.
I think these would make a wonderful set of coordinating Christmas cards—and they were definitely as much fun to make as they are to look at!
