Well ‘Hello Gorgeous’! The new release is here and the name says it all! You are going to love it! I am sharing a trio of cards featuring TATTERED LEAVES. This new die is big and beautiful with beautiful embossed details. This die cut has been highlighted on dusky, ink blended backgrounds.
A2 sized panels of Bristol Smooth card stock were ink blended with Distress Oxide inks;
Black Soot, Fossilized Amber, Scattered Straw
Black Soot, Mowed Lawn, Old Paper
Black Soot, Villainous Potion, Spun Sugar
They were then trimmed down to 4" by 5 1/4"
Miss You
Both the panel and black foam were die cut with a die from Simon's Thin Circle Frames die set. The frame of the background was mounted on the foam and adhered to black card stock measuring 4 1/8" by 5 3/8" and an A2 sized card base. Although the die produces a thin frame, it was not necessary to use. The circle die cut was centred in the recessed opening. Simon's Miss You sentiment was die cut from both black card stock and foam and stacked. Tattered Leaves was mounted on the card front. Foam squares were adhered to the underside of the leaves that overhung the recessed area. The secondary sentiment from Simon's Inside Friendship Messages was stamped in Black Onyx Versafine ink. Yellow confetti finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew complete this card.
Take Care
Both the panel and black foam were die cut with a die from Simon's Stitched Rectangles die set. The frame of the background was adhered to black card stock measuring 4 1/8" by 5 3/8" and an A2 sized card base. The stitched rectangle was mounted on foam and adhered in the centre of the frame. Simon's Take Care sentiment was die cut from both black card stock and foam and stacked. Foam squares were used on the underside of the leaves for added dimension. The secondary sentiment from Simon's Inside Friendship Messages was stamped in Black Onyx Versafine ink. Purple confetti finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew complete this card.
Big Hugs
Both the panel and black foam were die cut with a die from Simon's A2 Thin Frames die set. The frame of the background was mounted on the foam and adhered to black card stock measuring 4 1/8" by 5 3/8" and an A2 sized card base. Although the die produces a thin frame, it was not necessary to use. The rectangular die cut was centred in the recessed opening. Simon's Big Hugs sentiment was die cut from both black card stock and foam and stacked. Tattered Leaves was mounted on the card front using foam squares on the underside of the leaves that overhung the recessed area. The leaves and stem on the frame were tacked down with liquid adhesive. The secondary sentiment from Simon's Inside Friendship Messages was stamped in Black Onyx Versafine ink. Green confetti finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew complete this card.
