Repeat Stamping with Picket Fence Studio's O-FISH-ALLY

Hello, card making friends! O-FISH-ALLY is an absolutely adorable stamp set. There are several different fish and each one has a detail and solid stamp. The fish detail is easily lined up on the solid image for cute, layered look.

A stamping platform and Pawsitively Saturated Inks were used for both cards. Although not necessary, a stamping platform does make repeat stamping much more precise and a quick project. The grid on the base of the platform was used to set a measurement for moving the panel for each stamping. The solid stamp is positioned on the platform door. The panel is placed so the first stamped image will be on the right side. The stamp stays in place and the panel is moved to the left; counting the number of grid squares. When ready to stamp the next image, the panel will always move to the right the same distance. The panel will extend beyond the platform door. There will be no creasing as long as pressure is applied just to the area where the stamp is. The images will be evenly spaced and aligned. Repeat with the detail stamp!

  • The solid image of the fish was stamped with with the lighter ink and the detail with the darker in rainbow order; Guava/Watermelon, Peachy/Grapefruit, Lemonade/Sunbeam, Celery/Limelicious, Tidepool/Seafoam and Heather/Violet.

  • The bubbles were stamped using an acrylic block and the darker ink.

  • The cute sentiment was stamped with Black Hybrid Ink.

  • The panel was cut with a die from the Slim Line Stitched and Scalloped Rectangles and Alpha Die Cutting System and mounted on a black matted card base measuring 3.5" by 8.5".

  • Using a blender brush, the darker inks were applied on card stock. HAPPY BIRTHDAY was cut out using the alphabet dies included in the Slim Line Stitched and Scalloped Rectangles and Alpha Die Cutting System. The letters were cut in rainbow colour order. Each letter was stacked on three white card stock die cuts. A T-ruler was used to adhere the letters onto the panel.

  • A rainbow of sequins complete this card.

  • For this card four different fish were used following the same procedure as the previous card using Heather/Violet. Morning/Twilight, Lilac/Amethyst and Marine/Cadette.

  • The sentiment was stamped with Black Hybrid Ink .

  • The panel was trimmed to 4" by 5.25" and mounted on an A2 sized card base matted with blue violet card stock.

  • The card was embellished with blue and purple sequins.
