What a gorgeous collection! Spellbinder’s Lolli & Grace Festive Felt Christmas collection (I Want It All Bundle)is filled with the sweetest designs, perfect for adding a touch of handmade charm to the holiday season. I used the dies to create these adorable felt ornaments, each measuring approximately 6 inches tall. I love this size, as the details really stand out, and they make wonderful decorations for the Christmas tree or thoughtful handmade gifts.

Assembly & Stitching Tips

I began by die-cutting all of the elements from felt. To ensure nice, clean cuts, I like to add a piece of copy paper folded in half as a shim when die-cutting felt with my machine.

I found it easiest to assemble the felt layers using spray adhesive. I began by ‘dry a ssembling’ all the die-cut elements for each design, then sprayed the pieces a few at a time and carefully assembled the layers. Each die set also includes a larger outline die-cut, which I set aside until all the stitching was complete. The assembled designs helped keep everything in place while I worked on the stitching.

I have included the COLOUR & STITCHING GUIDE for each of the die sets featured in this project. Although I didn’t strictly follow all the suggested colours, I did use the recommended stitching techniques for the most part, with a few variations along the way.

For the seed beads, I used ordinary sewing thread and a fine beading needle. The beads add a lovely touch of sparkle while also helping to secure the sequins in place.

For the embroidery, I used two strands of antique white embroidery floss to create the straight stitches, daisy stitches, French knots and tassels. These little details add so much character and texture to each ornament!

Once all the stitching was complete, I applied spray adhesive to the back of each ornament and adhered it to the coordinating outline die-cut. I made sure to include a loop of embroidery floss between the layers to create a hanger for each ornament.

Closing Thoughts

I had so much fun creating these festive felt ornaments! The combination of colourful felt, delicate stitching, sequins and seed beads makes each design extra special. I especially love how the sweet Christmas characters and whimsical details come together to create ornaments with plenty of personality.

These are a wonderful way to add a handmade touch to your holiday decorating, and I think they would make lovely gifts, too. The stitching does take a little time, but the finished ornaments are well worth the effort. What a delightful collection to add to my Christmas crafting!
