Timesaving Ink Blending Hack featuring Simon Says Stamp’s Tattered Leaves

When you need a card NOW, ink blending on coloured card stock is a fast and easy way to achieve an ink blended look minus half the time! This sympathy card features the newly released Tattered Leaves from the Hello Gorgeous collection. The beautiful leafy die cut has been coupled with my favourite sentiment stamp set to send heartfelt messages of love and support, Simon's Moments of Grace.

A panel of lavender card stock was trimmed to 4" by 5 1/4". Distress Oxide inks Black Soot, Wilted Violet and Shaded Lilac were blended around the perimeter of the card. After the ink was dry, the main sentiment from Simon's Moments of Grace was embossed in gold the secondary sentiment was stamped with black Versafine ink. The panel was mounted on black card stock measuring 4 1/8" by 5 3/8" and then onto an A2 sized card base.

Tattered Leaves was die cut from both blue violet and black card stock. The blue violet die cut was stacked on the black one slightly offset. Adhesive was applied just to the stems to adhere it to the card front. Foam squares were used to pop up the leaves.

The card was finished off with gold confetti. Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew was applied to each one to create a jewel-like effect.
