Cream coloured card stock was cut with the Crafty Plaid Background Die. This is an intricate die and by running it through the die cutter once, I was able to keep all the little die cuts intact and remove just the ones from the corners using a craft pick.
The panel was adhered to gold glitter card stock and then onto an A2 sized, black card base.
Meraki Artisan Flora Dies Peony set consists of two dies that cut multiple pieces. One die cuts the flower and bud layers and the other, the leaves.
The peony and flower bud was cut two times from Bristol Smooth card stock to create two flowers and two buds.
Working on the flowers and buds first, soft touches of colour was added with Copic markers R20, R000 and the colourless blender.
There are a couple of supports to assist with the assembly. The packaging includes a visual step by step guide and the larger die cuts of the flower have a triangle registration cut out to align one to the other. Easy!
The leaves and flower bud stem were cut from green card stock. Depth and dimension were added to the main die cuts with touches Copic YG17.
The Meraki Moments Hey Die Set has three dies; the shadow, the sentiment and individual letters. For this card I did not use the shadow die. The sentiment was cut from both black card stock and black foam and stacked. The letters, from gold glitter card stock, were adhered to the sentiment.
The card front was assembled by first adhering the sentiment and one bud and leaf to frame the left side of it. The peony on the right was adhered directly to the card front and the other one with foam squares. The leaves and second bud were tucked in under the petals.
The card was embellished with Sparkle Golden Illusion Crystals.
