Altenew's April Craft-A-Flower die set, Anemone Blue Poppy Layering Die Set, is incredibly gorgeous! Craft-A-Flower is released monthly and includes all the pieces you need to create a multi-layered floral arrangement. Altenew’s Key-Hole System makes the assembly of layered die cuts so easy and straightforward! You'll always know the correct orientation for each layer because these little centre cutouts align in only one way!
An A2 sized of panel of Bristol Smooth card stock was ink blended with Desert Night, Dusk and Ocean Waves from Cool Summer Night Fresh Dye Inks Mini Cube Set.
There are two poppy die sets included. One poppy was cut two times for a total of three poppies for the card.
The poppies were cut out of vellum paper, the stamens from black card stock and the leaves from silver glitter card stock
Colour from the Cool Summer Night Fresh Dye Inks Mini Cube Set was applied to the back of the die cuts using Micro Blending Brushes. Dusk was brushed on about 2/3 of petal and Desert Night was added just to the petal’s edges.
The poppies were easily assembled using the Key-Hole System. Liquid adhesive can cause vellum to ripple so glue dots were used.
Both the panel and poppies were were spattered with Brushed Pewter Distress Stain.
The sentiments from Timeless Sentiments 2 are accompanied by shadow dies. The shadow die was used to cut silver glitter card stock and black sheet foam. The shadow was stacked.
A small panel was ink blended with with Desert Night, Dusk and Ocean Waves, cut with the scripty die and adhered to the shadow.
The panel was adhered to an A2 sized, black card base. The leaves and sentiment were adhered to the card front and the poppies mounted with foam squares.
The card was embellished with the aquamarine crystals from Deep Sea Sapphire Gem Sparkles.
