This card features the Altenew Craft Your Life Project Kit: Sweet Harvest, a gorgeous set that combines outline stamps, layering stencils, and coordinating dies to create beautifully detailed apple branches. For this project, I paired the stamp set with the stencil and add-on die to create a richly layered card full of texture and depth.

Card Details
I began by stamping the large apple branch image from the Sweet Harvest kit onto white cardstock. Using the stencil set and blending brushes from the Ultimate Ink Blending Tool Bundle , I added colour with Altenew Fresh Dye Inks — Shadow Creek, Mountain Pine, and Firefly for the leaves, blending from dark to light for natural dimension. A small blending brush was used to apply Bronze Metallic Ink included in the Magical Metallic Ink Bundle along the leaf edges for a subtle shimmer.
The apples were inked in Crimson, Blush, and Citrus Burst, creating a warm, sun-kissed look. The branch itself was stenciled using Metallic Bronze Ink. Once the stenciling was complete, I used the coordinating die to cut out both the branch and a matching black foam layer for added depth.

For the background, I created a loose watercolor wash on Altenew Watercolour Paper using shades of green, yellow-green, and dark gray from the Altenew Watercolour Pan Set. While the panel was still wet, I pressed a paper towel over the surface to lift pigment and create a soft, organic texture. After it dried, I trimmed the panel to 5½” tall x 4⅛” wide, leaving a slim black border on the card base’s right side once adhered.
To add finishing details, I spattered the panel with Distress Stain (Brass) and black watercolor for a bit of sparkle and contrast. The apple branch and sentiment (also stacked with a die-cut foam layer) were adhered to the card front, and any overhanging leaves and stems were trimmed flush with the edge.

Closing Thoughts
The Sweet Harvest Project Kit makes it effortless to build lush, dimensional botanical cards. The combination of stenciling, metallic accents, and watercolor texture gives this design a painterly look without the need for detailed hand painting. It’s a perfect set for creating everything from thank-you and friendship cards to fall-themed projects — a reminder that sweetness can be shared in every season
