Holiday Wreath & Branch Stencil & Die Set

My cards feature the gorgeous Holiday Wreath and Branch Stencil and Die Set. This is a beautiful layering stencil set that creates a wreath and branch. I modified the branch for a square wreath on my second card. The wreaths are finished off with the newly released Joy Die Set and Feliz Navidad Hot Foil Plate.

  • Tiny Dots Cover Die was used to cut both white and black card stock measuring 4 1/4" by 5 1/2".

  • For some little pops of shine, these panels were adhered to gold foil card stock before they were mounted onto A2 sized card bases.

  • Holiday Wreath and Branch Stencil and Die Set is a four layer stencil set. Although I just stencilled the wreath and branch, there is also a bow in two sizes and a sentiment. There are dies for all of the elements except the sentiment.

  • All of the stencils are numbered in the order they are to be used and have registration marks so they are easily aligned.

  • Each layer for the wreath and branch were stencilled at once using the same colours of Distress Oxide Inks. The ink was applied with daubers. The branch was stencilled four times.

  • For the first layer, Walnut Stain was applied. The second layer is just for the wreath and Cracked Pistachio was used. For the the third layer, Evergreen Bough was applied and the final layer was done with Candied Apple.

  • The wreath and four branches were die cut along with black sheet foam.

  • The wreath was mounted on the the foam die cut.

  • To construct the square wreath, I used a die from a square nesting die set as a guide. The sides were laid out first and the length trimmed. These branches were then adhered to the foam die cuts and the excess foam removed. The same process was followed for the top and bottom branches which were then adhered on top of the ends of the side branches.

  • The foam mounted wreaths were adhered to the card fronts.

  • The Feliz Navidad Hot Foil Plate was foiled in gold on white card stock and cut with a coordinating die found in the Feliz Navidad Die Set. Small foam squares were used to adhere it inside the square wreath.

  • The Joy Die Set consists of a shadow die that was used to cut black card stock and the script die was used to cut gold glitter card stock. Again small foam squares, cut in half this time, were used to adhere it inside the circular wreath.

  • The wreaths were finished off with bows created with the Pretty Bows Die Set; one of gold foil and the other of gold glitter. For each wreath the bow was cut three times. The bows were off set to create full yet airy adornments for the wreaths.
