Hello everyone! I am excited to be be participating in Joy Clair Design’s Blog Hop to celebrate their NEW RELEASE! The timing and name of this release is uncanny as we are experiencing above 0 degrees Celsius …. SPRINGish indeed although not at all typical. But given the weather trends this winter, it will likely be 30 degrees below tomorrow! For now, I can’t help but enjoy the warmth of sunshine on my face and was inspired to do up a sweet daffodil card featuring a gorgeous digital set, You Are Loved.
A background was created with the 'copy-paste' method using the daffodil image and a sentiment, ‘our friendship is timeless’ and printed on Bristol Smooth card stock and masking paper. The daffodils were fussy cut from the masking paper and the panel die cut with the second largest die in Pinkfresh Studio’s Slim Stitched Rectangles. The daffodils were masked. Distress Oxide inks, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn, were applied randomly to the panel and blended.
The daffodil image was enlarged and printed on Neenah Classic Crest 80 lb card stock and fussy cut. Both the daffodils on the background panel and the single image were Copic coloured.

The background panel was adhered to a white card stock panel die cut with the largest die in Pinkfresh Studio’s Slim Stitched Rectangles. This panel was mounted on a card base measuring 3 3/4” by 8 3/4”. The single daffodil and the additional flower heads were mounted on the card with foam squares. Puffy white letters were used to create a main sentiment, ‘friend’. The card was embellished with clear sequins topped with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.
