Stronger Together with Simon Says Stamp

Updated: Jan 12

Hello everyone! This is my last ‘scheduled’ post! I will soon be back home ... trips are awesome but coming home more so! I can’t wait to see my doggy crew! Today's card features Simon Says Stamp's Stronger Together. It is a simple yet elegant card!

I began this card with an A2 sized panel of Neenah Solar White card stock. I die cut this panel with the 3rd largest frame from Simon Says Stamp's A2 Fine Frames. I also cut another frame from matte gold card stock.

The floral image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. This ink is copic friendly and will not bleed when coloured with alcohol ink markers. The leaves were coloured with BG 90, 93 and 99. I began at the base of the leaf with my darkest tone and worked up towards the tip using a flicking motion with the lighter markers. BG 99 and 93 were used to colour the sepals at the base of the flowers and 99 was used to redraw the stems. The flower petals were coloured the same way as the leaves using RV000, 63, 66. A very quick and easy card to colour! There are times I really appreciate a card that can be made in short order!

I used a stamping platform to stamp the sentiment with Versamark Ink so I could double emboss it with WOW! Metallic Gold Rich embossing powder. The panel was attached to white sheet . To assemble the card, I taped the thin gold frame to the outer die cut of the panel before adhering it to the card base. I find this easier to deal with the fine die cut frame! After the small, raised panel was glued to the opening of the cut out panel, the card was finished off with a few embellishments from Studio Katia.
