Stencilling and Heat Embossing featuring Pinkfresh Studio's Floral Notes and Floral Focus

Updated: Mar 13, 2022

Hello everyone! I have another stencilling post with a focus on heat embossing. Pinkfresh Studio has a number of stamps with coordinating stencils ... a great opportunity to highlight all that pretty stencilling with embossing! Again, like all stencil work, these cards are relatively quick and definitely easy to make! Yes!

The images for both cards were stamped using a stamping platform and Simon Says Stamp's Intense Black Ink. The stamps were left in the platform and, after the stencilling, were stamped again with Versamark ink and embossed with gold embossing powder. The stencil work was completed with blending brushes and Simon Says Stamp's Pawsitively Saturated inks. Stencilling was done on Waffle Flower's Stencil Mat.

There is a set of five stencils that coordinate with Floral Focus. They were inked as follows:

  • Stencil 1 - Lemonade

  • Stencil 2 - Sunbeam

  • Stencil 3 - Aspen

  • Stencil 4 - Citrine

  • Stencil 5 - Sage

After the image was embossed, the panel was trimmed to 4" by 5 1/4". The background was coloured with a Copic 100 Black marker and the panel matted on black card stock. It was adhered to an A2 sized card base. The sentiment from Pinkfresh Studio's You Are Amazing was stamped with Versamark on black card stock and embossed. The sentiment was mounted on foam and adhered to the panel. The centres of the flowers were embellished with Prills Gilt Trip. Gold confetti finished with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew complete this card.

There are three stencils that coordinate with the large floral, Floral Notes. The inks were applied with light pressure with the following inks:

  • Stencil 1 - large flowers with Cheeky & Blush, small flowers with Peachy & Grapefruit

  • Stencil 2 - flower centres with Lemonade, tiny flowers with Sunbeam & Citrine

  • Stencil 3 - Celery, Perfection

After the image was embossed, the panel and matte gold card stock, were die cut with the second largest die in Pinkfresh's Slim Stitched Rectangles. The floral edge was fussy cut and mounted on foam. White card stock was cut with Pinkfresh's Slim Fancy Diagonal die and mounted on the matte gold panel. The panel was adhered to a black card base and the floral image attached. The sentiment was embossed in gold on black card stock and the stamp used to trace around it. It was fussy cut and mounted on foam. The card was embellished with pink confetti finished off with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.
