Hello friends! Spellbinder's Small Die of the Month, Summertime Wade Pool, is so super cute with ‘floaties’ and a couple of interactive elements; a bear and ice cream cone. I have incorporated the ice cream cone in another card over HERE!!! This set is adorable!
The June registration window for this club will be available June 6 for current Club Members. New registrations are accepted on the 10th of June. Registrations can be completed until June 27th or while supplies last.
Working on Canson XL Water Colour paper and Mijello Gold Watercolour Paints, a rainbow background was created. Each section was spattered with its coordinating paint and then the entire panel with white gouache.
When dry, the panel was trimmed to 3 1/2” by 8 1/2” and mounted on a black matted, slimline card base measuring 3 3/4” by 8 3/4”.
Three ‘floaties’ and a bear from the Small Die of the Month were cut from Bristol Smooth card stock.
The floaties were colour coordinated with the water colour background. They were inked with Distress Oxides; Squeezed Lemonade and Carved Pumpkin for one, Kitsch Flamingo and Wilted Violet for another and the last one with Mermaid Lagoon and Mowed Lawn. The bear was inked with Frayed Burlap and Antique Linen.
The floaties on either end of card front were mounted on foam die cuts.
The bear is interactive. The legs have a die cut to hang them on a foam square. The bear in the floatie was adhered over legs also with foam squares.
The sentiment was cut from white card stock and foam, stacked and adhered to the card.
