SHAKE IT UP ... with Simon Says Stamp February Card Kit

Welcome! So glad you were able to stop by! Today’s card is the first of three shakers that I am making with Simon Says Stamp Card Kit featuring a dynamic stamp set, ‘Window Frames’. I am beginning this 3 part series with the heart frame.

The heart frame is stamped on Neenah Desert Storm Kraft cardstock, 4 1/8" by 5 7/8", using Simon Says Stamp Black Intense ink with a stamping tool. The stamp is left in the Misti while the hearts are coloured with Lyra pencils. The image is embossed 3 times! When complete, the embossing is very snoooth and has a puffy, dimensional appearance.

The stamp set also comes with a few single outline heart stamps. I used these in groupings of three to extend the clusters of hearts around the frame. Again, the stamps were kept in the Misti so they could be embossed 3 times after the colouring.

The window frame image was die cut using the ’Trio Window’ wafer die. Scor-Tape is very strong and perfect for adhering the pouch to the panel. Pink cardstock, cut 5 1/2” by 4 1/4”, creates the base for the window frame panel. The Sweetheart Embellishments are mounded on the base in three areas to correspond to the die cut windows. The window panel is adhered to the base and the attached to a card base. The sentiment is stamped with Distress Oxide Ink in Festive Berries and Picked Raspberry. The card is finished up with shimmer using a Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen and glazed with Nuvo Crystal Glaze on each heart. Shine overload!
