SHAKE IT UP .... card 3 with Simon Says Stamp January Card Kit

Hello everyone! I am posting this card much later than I intended! I had problems with a couple of my main video clips .... they worked in the CLOUD but, no matter how many times I downloaded them, they ran like a Charlie Chaplin movie here on Earth! I am sure somebody out there knows why! Not me!

So here is a 'walk through' on how I made this card using the floral frame in Simon Says Stamp 'Window Frames' stamp set without the video! The floral frame was stamped on the upper portion of Bristol Smooth cardstock cut to 4 1/4" by 5 ½" and on masking paper with Simon Says Stamp Black Intense ink. The stamp was left in the Misti so the image could be embossed after colouring. An additional 4 1/4" by 5 ½" panel was cut.

The image was cut out of the masking paper .... a little finicky but I did not worry about being too precise. After masking the image, both panels of Bristol smooth card stock were ink blended with Peacock Feathers and Pine Needles Distress Oxide Inks. I added a a bit of Black Soot to deepen the tone of Pine Needles at the end of the blend. I tried to ensure the blends were the same on both cards. After the ink was dried, the mask was removed and the panel with the image die cut with the Trio Window wafer die. I did have a bit of a white halo here and there around this intricate image. I stamped some of the oxide inks on my glass media mat and picked up the ink with a water brush to do the touchups. I also used a small blending brush to apply ink to the bars between the windows.

The floral design was coloured simply using Turquoise Green, Marine Green and Dark Pink Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Markers. The panel was placed back into the Misti to be stamped with Versamark Ink and embossed with Metallic Gold Rich WOW! Embossing Powder. Because the design of this frame is finer, I only embossed it once.

Acetate was attached to the back of the die cut windows. I then die cut black sheet foam with the Trio Window die and glued it to the other die cut panel. When it was dry, I trimmed off the excess foam and fussy cut along the bottom floral edge. I laid this panel on top of the larger ink blended panel to determine the placement of the sentiments. After laying the 'thank you' sentiment where I wanted it, the panel was placed in the Misti to be embossed twice with the gold embossing powder. The secondary sentiment, 'so very much', was then aligned to the main one and stamped with Simon Says Stamp Black Intense ink.

Three mounds of a sequin mix were placed on the larger panel and aligned to the windows on the other panel. The smaller panel was adhered to the upper half of the base. When it was completely dry, I attached it to a card base. Little dots of Rhubarb Crumble Crystal Drops were applied to the berries. Where the berries were touching each other or very close, I waited until the crystal drops 'set up' before applying the one next to it. The card was finished off with Nuvo Water Droplet crystals and Caribbean Ocean Nuvo Crystal Drops.
