Hello everyone! Well the moment has arrived … STAMPtember! This month promises to be filled with lots of excitement and anticipation beginning with Simon‘s fabulous STAMPtember release and continuing on with their collaborations with your favourite companies! Today's card introduces one of many new Simon products …HEXAGON BACKGROUND! All done up in rainbow!
White card stock was stamped with Distress Oxide inks, Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin, Squeezed Lemonade, Mowed Lawn, Mermaid Lagoon and Dusty Concord. A stamping platform was used to stamp one colour at a time masking off the stamp with Post It Note Tape. The panel was clear embossed after the rainbow of colours were applied.
The rainbow, from Simon’s Rainbow is My Favorite Color, was stamped with Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin, Squeezed Lemonade and Mowed Lawn and fussy cut along the two outside curved edge. The panel was die cut with Simon’s Stitched Rectangles nesting die set. The rainbow was positioned on the panel and then cut with the same die.
The fabulous image was stamped on Bristol Smooth card stock and coloured with Zig markers. After she was fussy cut, everything was masked with Post It Note Tape and the umbrella spattered with watered down gouache paint. She was mounted on foam squares and adhered to the card. The sentiment, from the same stamp set, was stamped with black ink, clear embossed and die cut with Simon’s Sentiment Labels. The sentiment strip was mounted on foam. The card was accented with Nuvo Crystal Drops … one matching drop for each band of colour on the rainbow background.
